Meeting with representatives of the European Commission

The President of BCCI, Tsvetan Simeonov, participated in a meeting with representatives of the European Commission

The meeting discussed topics such as unemployment, the lack of suitable staff in the business, and the reasons for the demotivation of the unemployed to return to the labor market.

During the meeting the BCCI chairman identified as a positive change this year the introduction of mandatory impact assessment of the normative acts. He also noted the shortcomings of the entrepreneurial environment in Bulgaria.

Defined the electronization of public services as a proper guideline, referred to the tax returns by individuals and companies, but stressed that paper-based submissions should not be forbidden. According to the BCCI, it is necessary to keep this option because of the lack of 100% Internet access to all but to be subject to a fee to cover the administration’s costs of digital data entry.

Representatives of employers’ and trade union organizations took part in the meeting.
